The public transport platform helps supporters with routes to the Stade Velodrome football club.

Top French football club Marseille has partnered with public transport platform Moovit to improve fan games at their Stade Velodrome home.

The agreement stipulates that Moovit will offer team supporters the best routes by public transport, while identifying fan zones, club shops and stadium access.

The length of the contract and the financial terms have not been published.

This makes Marseille the first football club in France to offer its fans personalized, real-time information on home transport on home games. With 520 million users worldwide, Moovit already allows users to plan their journey using all available means of transport, while providing step-by-step instructions and notifications.

Thierry Aldebert, deputy director general of Marseille, said: "We are looking for this kind of collaboration to improve the experience for spectators and fans. Working with Moovit is part of this approach: creating smart connections that give our observers better access to the orange velodrome." & Nbsp;

Yovav Meydad, Moovit's Director of Marketing and Growth, added: "Thanks to this collaboration with Moovit, Olympique is clearly committed to the future of mobility. We are pleased to be able to contribute to other clubs and sporting events that bring together thousands of people."

Marseille, for example, will join Italian Inter and Roma, which will be working with Moovit in 2019 and 2018 respectively. On the field, the game from the French side returns against Monaco on September 15 and sits in eighth place in Ligue 1.
